Yesterday, at my bi-monthly apptment and regular Zometa infusion. My local oncologist at Tenn. Oncology informed me that after 2+ years of authorizing payment of Zometa for me and my disease,
The d... insurance company has refused.
I got on the phone with Dr. B's office in at Myeloma Institute in Little Rock and they are appealing it for me! My local onc. said since I am in clinical trial and
"That FDA has not approved Zometa for treatment of Smoldering/mgus patients in the prevention of Lytic lesions."
I will keep you all posted!
