Life in the balance

That is a strange place to start on today's rant.   My first beef is with the state of Tennessee, although I was from Kentucky which sadly is not too much better in terms of politics.  Tennessee passed a constitutional amendment in which the pious legislature can dictate out of existence the Women's Clinics that perform abortions in the state.   These clinics not only deliver critical needed pap smears and mammograms to indigent/poor women but also abortions.
Most of what the hair brained legislature will attempt will be unconstitutional and violate the Right to Privacy but nonetheless their efforts will chill and make very difficult the administration of these clinics.

The whole point of these right wing extremists is to tell poor women what to do!  The well off and well heeled will travel to other states to get little suzy from Williamson County or in Franklin her clinical abortions!  The radical republicans are still fighting the civil war by arguing that state rights and nullification trumps the US Constitution.   They have said this in arguments telling state and county officials to disobey United State Marshalls who arrive with subpoenas or  orders regarding OSHA regulations from Federal Courts.   The Tennessee attorney general had to plainly tell them to stop this or risk contempt and jail for contempt from US District Court Judges.

The cutting of funding to the National Cancer Institute by these radical republicans.... President George W. Bush and his cronies started this arguing that embronic stem cell use was causing more abortions!
Amazing and frankly untrue.  Cancer funding is essential to find cures and new treatments.  Small wonder they oppose science funding,  they believe the earth is 6 thousand years old and that a snake talked a woman into deceiving Adam.  In Tennessee ,Eve is a second class citizen unworthy by radical republican standards to have many rights except pregnancy and standing by her gun toting man.


 Life does not began at conception, idiocy begans when people pay lip service to the unborn but as soon as those little babies leave their mothers, the same idiots tell them
